Good Morning Vietnam
Taking a boat from Cambodia to Vietnam was a ton of fun. We’re now in Ho Chi Minh City, or as many of our home boys from back in the day would call it, Saigon.
The city is sweet, and the people here are really nice as well. There is a different feel to this country, as with all the rest, but if feels more organized here. Doesn’t feel as cut throat. The other night was gnarly. I was walking back to my place after a body massage, which kicks ass by the way, and I noticed some guy in the street bleeding from his head. I looked hella bad. Apparently some guy busted a beer bottle across the back of his head, and it made a huge gash.
I ran up to my room, grabbed some water, and my first-aid kit, and fled back to treat him. I washed him up, and treated the wound as best as I could. The locals were very appreciative, and the guy seemed to be very thankful. I felt hella bad for him. He couldn’t go to the hospital because he didn’t have any money. If I would of had a stitch kit, I could have done it. Now I have to go find one. I’ve only used my first-aid kit on other people for this trip.
Besides that, things are stellar. Rayna leave tomorrow on a jumbo jet, and then Mike, Adrian and I are going to buy motorcycles and drive up the coast nearly 1000 miles to Hanoi. It only cost about $200-$300 for one, and then we’ll sell it in Hanoi. I’m so pumped for this new escapade.
Oh yeah, Pho especially with beef is to die for here. I love Southeast Asia.
